Doesn't fit well, requires skill and tools to install safely and level

Pipes are small and cheap. The cover comes off. The diameter is somewhere between 3/4β€³ and 1β€³ (not really suitable for other finished devices). When connecting and screwing, the parts do not line up at right angles: you need to apply thread lock or pipe glue, then leave and let dry. Still, they will sag a little under their weight, so you'll need to measure the two directions on each pipe coming off the wall and align (is it perpendicular to the wall? and is it flush with the other pipe?) to get a level to obtain and vertical installation. The included drywall anchors are questionable (not all of them hook onto the included screws) and you have to drill 32 holes to install them. I also used my own drywall anchors. I also added 2 point clamps under each board to keep them in place. This would be less necessary if it made sense to align the tubes so that the planks are actually fully supported on both sides. And yes, these are just cheaper and weaker versions of whistles you can buy at the store. the plumbing department at Home Depot or Lowe's. Maybe if you really WANT lighter weight tubes for the shelf this might make sense. I would just buy from Home Depot next time; had to go there anyway to get shelves, screw lock and reliable drywall anchors. A "fun" project when you have nothing else to do! And with 32 drywall anchors, they at least seem secure enough.
