Read the reviews and you will see that it is better than most say. The manual that came with the device is practically useless and contains no actual instructions. I personally found it simple and compact, easy to use. Incoming unit, install Bluetooth antenna, connect speaker wire, FM antenna, plug in power cord and you're done. Using it at our camp and its FM receiver is better than the boombox we've been using for years. As for people having issues with Bluetooth, I haven't experienced any of the reported issues. Pairing is easy, change the mode to BLUE and the display will start blinking, go to Bluetooth on the phone and search for devices, it shows as LP-269S, connect the device, allow and I was turned off and started streaming. So far I've been 20-25 feet from the device and the streaming music has never missed a beat. I haven't tried media streaming yet, but for our use we don't. In terms of sound quality, it's clear and the unit has enough power to drive 4 speakers, two inside and two on the porch. It's not a rock concert, but it gets the job done easily. Haven't seen any problems with the heating. The device runs cool after a few hours of use. The only thing I would like is a switch to select the speaker. This will be the icing on the cake.
