Makes more sense than traditional diaper bags

We are first-time parents and we are naturally excited. We've tried to prepare as best we can, and the whole ordeal can be pretty overwhelming: there are so many things to buy, so many options, and multiple TYPES between options. However, a functional backpack made more sense to us than a flowered duffel bag. We chose this based on the following criteria: - neutral colors and patterns versus light colors as we may be having another baby (of a different gender) in the near future. Also, the neutral look is more stylish since we are already using a backpack instead of a bag, duffel bag, etc. because it's much easier to carry the backpack and distribute the weight. There are so many things to carry and they get heavy quickly - this brand is superior to others due to certain useful features. I like the idea of the changing table, but I don't think it's always convenient. What I like best is the accessibility of the items (like the front bottle pocket) and the "cleanability" as everything seems to be fairly waterproof. but it's not necessarily fast. It's more like an emergency room when there's absolutely no choice and you'd rather take a minute to set it up than put your child on questionable surfaces. The thing is, you'll mostly have space and you'll end up using a towel or quick-fold mat. It's not that the changing area is bad, it's just that you'll dread the setup when you find yourself having to do it almost 10 times a day. The bag has everything for a changing station and it works. and holds properly, only the installation becomes tedious at some point. A mosquito net can help some BUT it doesn't completely cover the room allowing the bug to get inside. I don't know if this is intended for picnics, but I wouldn't trust the net to scare away creepy crawlies if I put it on the ground. The fabric seems quite durable. The faux leather accents don't seem too bad (I've seen some things that just look awful). I have a problem with zippers because they look a bit chunky; They're thick and too shiny, which I think just draws too much attention to the zipper. It may be the fact that it's so obvious, but I have a feeling the zipper could easily fail and do something that opens at both ends. With that in mind, today I leave you with a lifehack: smear the entire zipper with graphite and rub it with a pencil to reduce the likelihood of a malfunction.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Makes me angry
