I bought this for my regular trash can instead of plastic bags. We also use it for our compostable materials. I feel better when I avoid plastic bags. The first thing I looked for was a compostable bag that wouldn't fall apart before we sent it to the bin or compost heap. Please note that we do not have incredibly heavy litter. We use it in a 5 liter kitchen bin. A bit big but it leaves room to tie. And they appear to be a gimmick. They're thick enough to hold regular trash as long as it's not wet. In the meantime, hold onto any moist plant material. They are perfect for my previous use - they will probably be doubled in summer. And the price seems reasonable.
