The updated version could be greatly improved, but this one still gets the job done.

I already have a regular CoffeeGator and I can tell you it's AWESOME. In fact, I love it so much I bought this version of the travel mug so I never have to be without it. The traditional glass version is not good for travel/packing, but this tumbler version is a good solution. and I mean good, not great. **Update: The lid broke on the 2nd day. Pros: - Same amazing coffee as regular CoffeeGator. - Good for the environment without paper filters, disposable cups, etc. - Looks good. The matte finish looks great clean with no fingerprints. Keeps coffee hot. Cons: The lid is not leakproof. It's definitely not something I would toss in my backpack when traveling like other travel containers like hydroflasks. The filter does not fit in the cup when the lid is closed. Of course, you'll never drink coffee with an in-cup filter, but for travel, folding makes it a lot easier to pack. The current version is inconvenient to pack. It mostly has to do with how I brew my coffee, but since this mug is opaque, there's no way of knowing when you've filled it to 12 ounces. You must measure the water first before pouring it. When you're traveling and, for example, heating water in a cup and then pouring it into this system, it's hard to understand. You can lift the filter to take a look, but sometimes the vapor is too hot for my hands to do so. - Pretty bulky. Even though I have small hands. All in all is it perfect? no Especially if you need leak protection. Is this the best solution for making coffee while traveling? Probably. I hope that the new version will solve these problems, but for now I have a new travel companion.
