Review on LP No 1 Turntable Adjustable Counterweight by Dana Mahendra

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great entry-level player with Bluetooth

This player impressed me with some of its features. When I first opened the box, I immediately noticed the metal arm, counterweight, and anti-skating knob. This is unlike most budget turntables! Another impressive feature was the included Audio-Technica AT3600L phonocassette, which costs around $25 alone. Most cheap turntables come with a very cheap budget cartridge. The player has a built-in small amplifier that powers the included speakers, as well as a built-in Bluetooth receiver. Really nice feature that allows you to stream music, it really adds a lot of functionality. The overall sound quality from the player and BT is fine. It's not surprising, but it's very decent and there's even some bass from the speakers, which have ports on the back. I noticed that putting it up against a wall really helped improve the bass. The speakers have removable covers and look pretty cool without them. Another nice feature of this player is the RCA outputs. When it's time to upgrade to nicer speakers, you can output the signal to an external amplifier or connect active speakers for even better sound quality. The player's features are fairly standard. There is a 33/45 rpm switch, a volume control and this unit has an auto-stop function to reset the tonearm after the recording is finished. Everything looks very nice, except maybe a piece of plastic with switches on it, that's ordinary plastic. The wood looks great and overall it's a pretty good looking device considering the price. The turntable and speakers were packaged very well and everything arrived in perfect condition. I used one of those cheap suitcase turntables and this one is way better than it. I love recording, but it was great to be able to stream from my phone through the same speakers as well, and I particularly like the stylish looks of both the player and speakers. Everything worked fine for me so I have no complaints or issues other than the somewhat cheap plastic they used. I used one of those cheap suitcase turntables and this one is way better than it.
