That does not work. in Portable Audio & Video

Unfortunately the chipset is CH340, not CP2102 as many people have pointed out (enough people seem to have complained that they changed the description to reflect this). Not necessarily a big deal for some, but many of the handhelds listed will not work with this chipset. I can personally confirm that this does not work with the Baofeng UV-5R series. It also doesn't work with my Baofeng BF888S. I can easily verify this as I have two other cables (specifically for Kenwood/Baofeng etc.) that work with my Windows/Linux/ARM versions of CHIRP. This cable will not work with either. Drivers are not a problem as all systems with this cable will recognize and automatically install signed drivers. I tried to install the drivers offered by the seller, but this made the COM port unreadable. Unfortunately I bought this cable for some Motorola CP185's that I needed to program and despite using the correct software (RVN5194 CP185 v02.02 build 59 and also tried with v02.04 build 62) it just doesn't work. send back tomorrow.
