Review on NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Color Correcting Concealer Palette: Perfecting Flawless Skin Tones by Heather Schmidt

I have other color correctors that feel too heavy or too dry. When I got my hands on it I was a bit nervous as it was my first NYX purchase (I know, I know but that was 2 months ago and now I'm addicted to this brand!). First, it's a fraction of the retail price ($10). It was an absolute steal for the price! It has 6 different colors: yellow, green, purple, salmon pink and two skin tones (cream and brown). ). I've attached a color wheel to make it easier for beginners to figure it out. To correct a problem area, use the color wheel to choose a color or a similar color (e.g. red for acne) and then the opposite color (e.g. green is the opposite of red). That means you need a green corrector to hide the redness. Yellow is the opposite of purple, so it corrects dark circles under the eyes (I've read it's best for tanned people), veins, and purple bruises. Purple is the opposite of yellow, so it corrects the yellow cast. Salmon pink corrects blue/purple (bags under my eyes for my pale skin). The bottom two colors are for contouring I assume? I don't contour so I can't comment on these two. Obviously don't leave these colors alone on your face; You mix them with concealer or foundation. The product is waxy and you may have trouble applying it if your fingers are not warmed up. Sometimes they stretch under my eyes, so I warm up my fingers (rubbing them together) and then try again. This usually helps. Salmon brightens my eyes instantly, even without concealer. Then you'll know it's the right color :-) I'm posting pictures which I hope will prove useful. I don't have foundation so the areas I applied the product to are not ideal. I hope they show how to correct the colors! Overall I really like this product as it has many correctors for many of my problems. I would probably suggest buying this from Ulta or somewhere other than online.
