I want to love this scale for the build quality alone, but unfortunately I'll probably be returning it. I also put new batteries in and it still says battery at 50%. I noticed that there are small foam pads under the scale that need to be removed. Bad but if there were instructions I might know it's not part of the unit because it fits so perfectly it seems to be part of the scale. Even after removing it I still get the same behavior where the weight doesn't change. So maybe that was the problem getting a vague UNST error and ascension counts, but doesn't explain why sudden weight changes aren't detected. Spend the extra money and get something better.
