These plastic trays are perfect for my use. I'm a paper crafter. I use it to keep scraps of paper for scrapbooks. They are great for separating waste by color. I just stack the trays on top of each other. I kept them in individual plastic sleeves. But it was a hassle pulling out scraps and then stuffing them back in every time I needed a specific one. So I take the tray, go through the leftovers and put it back on top of the pile with the leftovers. If the leftovers didn't match the tray color (i.e. red instead of red, yellow instead of yellow, etc.), I made a label and glued it to the edge of the tray at the short end (i.e. brown, for example). Due to static electricity, I put a sheet of cardboard on top of the leftovers in each compartment. Pieces from the lower tray sometimes stick to the bottom of the upper tray. This fixed that problem. If it makes sense And for you papermakers, these bowls work GREAT! :)
