Review on High-Speed USB Type-C to Micro-B 3.1 Gen2 πŸ”Œ Charger Cable - 3ft (0.9m) - Amazon Basics, White by Charles Lewellen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Seems well done on computer accessories and peripherals

Two IMPORTANT things to know! With the Dell Precision 7530 Thunderbolt 3 connectors, if you don't insert the end of the Micro B very carefully and just right, the moment you insert the Micro B into the hard drive, the computer will "lock up"! All is not lost. After 5-60 minutes the computer (hopefully) recovers without damage. Always connect the Micro B end BEFORE connecting the USB-C end to your computer and you're good to go. There are several companies that sell bad cables that can literally destroy laptops. and phones. Buy certified USB IF cables or take your risk. See online articles such as "Benson Leung, a Google engineer who works part-time as a tester for dubious USB Type-C cables, has sadly taken his last act of technical vigilance β€” at least for now. C, the cable was so bad it burned his chromebook pixel laptop and two USB PD analyzers (power)" from arstechnica.com I've only used them a couple of times but they seem to be well made, but the wire has a large outer diameter. Probably good for longevity but cumbersome for travelers.
