I usually make one cup at a time, my way. But if I had friends, it would be nice to have a pan. So I decided this is for me. A pleasant surprise, however, is that this is a good pot for "just quickly heating a large amount of water". So I keep the perk basket safe otherwise I leave it on the stove. I must say that on an electric stove on a small burner at 75 - 89% maximum "heats" the water in 5 minutes, and then just turns it off. Burner. (Not to cheer you up, but to "warm up" for tea or just to drink warm water like we do - you need to add chills if just drinking works well). "cover" them and tea lovers look like a weird "cult" :) hahhh. for all this (I do not understand). So, my wife, as an "Indian" tea lover, just brew a cup or two in a pot at a time. but i really like it for its capacity as i comment. I don't see any problems with "plating" and I understand that stainless steel can "tan" or "rust" a bit depending on the alloy. But for now it looks like what I expect and hope it stays like a food grade SS pan. like all my pans (no rust and not cheap). Hope that helps! (PS: I can't tell how long a full pot can last but I'm guessing? 10 minutes or so and will NOT be using Max Heat, keep it at 75% +- and it will continue.)
