We needed a TV stand that would extend to at least 18 inches. With an extension of up to 22 inches, it's ideal for catching up when cables need to be routed. changed or moved. It holds our 46" x 18" perfectly. This is a solid and well designed stand. The installation guide along with an online page to help with drilling made it perfect. This is one of the more expensive TV stands but I have a feeling you get what you paid for.
