After spending a lot of money on LEDs and expensive sodium bulbs I was able to find very good reviews on this particular bulb, I'm very happy with Sylvania and BT37 I haven't tried other well-known brands, but I compare it to HPS bulbs which are much more expensive. Don't waste your money on CFLs, LED or HPS, metal halide bulbs run cooler, try it and you can see and the light quality is amazing, everything alive reacts to metal halide, it didn't work with my digital ballast but it did with my old magnetic ballast.
