. Don't try to save a few more bucks on a cheaper filter key, it's not worth it. The design of this Toyota filter element is complete rubbish and therefore prone to failure depending on the design and the number of steps required to replace the filter. They're so tight when snapped into the metal clip indicator position that you'll need this serrated cup to safely and securely remove them. Don't risk breaking the body with a cheaper cup. I had to use a 2 foot crusher bar to loosen the stem and the cup's fit on the body is very secure. Don't try to save a few bucks, you will regret it and end up paying more money at the dealer. Toyota should be ashamed. I have a $50,000 Audi that has an incredibly easy filter change.
