Having had braces for 18 months and having good oral hygiene was extremely important to me, I was so thankful that I found this product in the beginning. Although I have a desktop waterpik for home use, I loved the portability and ease of use of this Synhope mini irrigator. I absolutely take it with me when I travel or to eat (with braces I have to clean my mouth after every meal). I ended up using it an average of 2-4 times a week and it worked impressively at first (I would have given it more than 5 stars at the time). I was so disappointed that after 3 months of light use it stopped working. It still turns on and sounds like it's working, but water has stopped flowing out of the device. I cleaned it regularly and let it dry, but nothing helped. Maybe it was a defect in my device, but I don't know for sure. If you are looking for a long lasting dentifrice I would recommend looking for a different product from a different manufacturer. I no longer have braces, but am still looking for another device that I can continue to use when travelling. Much luck!
