Fits like BDU.: Pants

Not sure if I'll keep them. They don't fit, but that's because they're BDUs. They fit just like BDUs, so each size fits a variety of measurements. In my case I have a waist around 32 which means I should go medium. Medium is for 31-35. So it will be big and baggy on me but I can't take a small one because it's too small. The double-reinforced "knee pads" are also too low for me, as is the BDU. It is more like a shin guard and barely reaches the knee. This is a problem as my BDUs always tend to fall apart right above the reinforced area. You can tell it's because I'm too short to wear a "regular" length, but interestingly I also received the woodland camouflage (same as the military summer weight pattern) at the same time I ordered them form in medium short. And the reinforced part is even lower, it doesn't even reach my knee! I'm not sure who designed it, but it's useless. That said, these Tru-Specs are called BDUs, so I can't argue with them as long as they fit like a BDU. I bought these because I needed work pants and they would probably fit. But they are expensive, I've since found cheaper options. If everything is ok I'll send the tru-specs back. In any case. The material is heavier than I expected (thicker than summer BDUs) and since I got them for mechanic/carpentry/farm work etc, that's fine. They feel well-tailored, but are a little stiff (may soften after washing) and not particularly comfortable (compared to military summer bras that resemble pajamas). As mentioned, they are very baggy and loose to me, and if you've ever worn a BDU, you know they don't look like regular pants anyway. You probably wouldn't want to wear these pants in a casual setting. If I could get them for $20-25 I would consider them a good option for work pants. ------- Update: I'm done with BDU. I found the LA Police Gear pants and I really like them: LA Police Gear Urban Recon Pant OD Green-32 x 30 These particular pants are all cotton, fit well, are comfortable and cheaper. In addition, they can be worn as leisure trousers. But this company also produces other pants like BDU, cotton-poly blend pants, etc. in various designs, and they are cheaper than these other brands. I would suggest checking out their website at lapolicegear dot com for the best deals and prices.
