Review on Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoids 12655420 Replacement Parts by Jonathan Fernandez

So easy even I could do it

Both magnets arrived quickly and thank you for that. At first we didn't know what was what as there were no instructions. We thought they were the same until you looked closer and said "in" or "out." Since I just stunned them last week, my opinion is based on short-term observations only. My friend did all the work. He's not a mechanic, but more of a researcher at Google and YouTube, a handyman. Well he started by changing the oil and after removing the old ones he cleaned the spot to make sure there was no dirt left before putting the new ones in. I only had to replace the exhaust solenoid as it was prone to corrosion. He advised replacing both, although the intake looked fine. After making sure the area was thoroughly cleaned, he installed new ones. So easy even I could do it. After a week I noticed a smoother ride. My 2008 Pontiac G6 almost stalled or even slowed down when it ran great on the gas. It's no fun when cars come from behind and the car coughs and doesn't shift gears as quickly as it used to. What an improvement with two new solenoids! Not sure if this will affect my gas mileage but will find out in a few days when I travel long distances and see how it performs on long trips. That's my unbiased opinion at the moment. I hope it helps. I would give it 4 stars but I need more time to drive on the freeway to see how it performs.
