Fits 2011 Malibu 2.4L engine snugly and is very easy to replace

2011 Chevy Malibu 2.4L engine has set DTCs P0010 and P0011. Dade camshaft position magnets solved the problem. Although the failure was only on the intake cam, I replaced both as they are very similar and are known to have a high failure rate on this particular GM 2.4 liter engine. Also, Dade's two piece kit cost less than the price of a solenoid at my local parts store! The parts fit perfectly and were very easy to swap out. The lifetime warranty is also a plus, although I hope I never need…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Available in black only

worked 30 days. Then things went bad.

I changed the oil and installed this kit on my 2012 Malibu. He has just covered 120,000 miles. Two days later my check engine light went out and hasn't since. Installation was easy and anyone could do it. I had an issue with one of the connectors falling apart during installation. I was able to put it back together and had no problems shutting down. Total installation time from start to finish was about 30 minutes. My local parts store wanted to triple the price. The package is also labeled…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Minor issues

So easy even I could do it

Both magnets arrived quickly and thank you for that. At first we didn't know what was what as there were no instructions. We thought they were the same until you looked closer and said "in" or "out." Since I just stunned them last week, my opinion is based on short-term observations only. My friend did all the work. He's not a mechanic, but more of a researcher at Google and YouTube, a handyman. Well he started by changing the oil and after removing the old ones he cleaned the spot to make sure

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Empty

I can't say enough good things about it other than the ease of installation but it's not so much about this particular part as it is about the fact that the part itself is easily accessible and easy to swap out on the car. Now the big downside. I bought intake and exhaust camshaft solenoids (aka variable speed ventilation solenoid or VVT solenoid) and replaced the faulty part. Unfortunately bank 1 (inlet) gave a code within 48 hours that it was stuck in the extended position. Now my car runs 10

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Upgrades

GARBAGE! WARRANTY NOT FULFILLED! BEWARE!

I bought this KIT and although they seemed to work initially the same engine code (P0010) didn't show up again until 5 miles later so I decided to take them out and replace them with OEM from the dealer who cleared this P0010 code and haven't returned since! Thing is, I installed it as soon as I bought it and drove it around the block, but I also had to replace the timing chain, head gasket, etc. After replacing many parts, a few months later I found the engine code reappeared. At first I…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
