Before a long ride on a 2012 CVO ROAD GLIDE CUSTOM, a leaking fuel check valve needs to be replaced. It was exactly the tool I needed. Since I never completed this task before contacting HD service, I was again offered a crazy price for the service I provided. did some research by YouTube University and found this tool instead of the HD model. The HD tool is between $200.00 and $90.00 if you could find it as it's always backordered. It wasn't sold on the HD store and had to be special ordered, and on ebay it was at a crazy price too. This long tool comes with Prime in a day for less than $30. Tips: - Discount on battery and fuel backup. Follow the service manual - Drain and blow out the tank. Refer to the Yu YouTube Service Manual. Otherwise you will make a mess with gasoline. - Make sure the bike is on and the sidestand is down. - Protect the paint of the tanks. - Work on the right side of the tank to put pressure on the bike so you don't pull/push the bike. - Apply a safe lubricant like silicone to the grommets. - After putting the tool on the ring lugs, push down evenly and rotate slowly - While pushing down, pull the handle evenly. Be careful not to use the very end of the handle as this tool is made of hard plastic and not metal. - Proper tool placement, downward pressure, gentle tool pulling is key. - Be careful not to damage the tool rubber seal in the housing after removing the ring or you will have to order another one from HD. In case of damage you have another leak! Like I said, it was very easy and saved hundreds of dollars. It took longer to replace the fuel check valve and reattach it to the fuel pump, but all in all it took half an hour of preparation, installation and cleaning. Simply because I was very careful not to mess anything up. .Good luck.#GO FAST, DON'T DIE
