Processor is 2 core but PC works fine

I work in IT and bought 3 of these as cheap office PCs and they work great. At around $250 each, the specs are great (6th gen i3-6100T, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD), making this device suitable for office use (Microsoft Office, web browsing, multi- monitor support). This PC is quite small but still has 6xUSB3.0, 1xUSB-C (for charging and data transfer only), 1xRJ-45 Ethernet, 2xDP and 1xVGA ports. Everything worked right out of the box and the specs listed were correct (although the i3-6100T is 2-core, not 4-core), it's one of the few tiny PCs like this that can do a three-monitor configuration without the need for additional graphics cards. The downsides are obviously the lack of OEM support when it's updated and the slightly outdated (and mislabeled) processor. All 3 arrived with some superficial damage, one with a broken keyboard, the other with a broken plastic housing for the wireless antenna, but it's a situation you pay for, so you can't expect 100% from an aftermarket. Update. If you buy a new PC of this small form factor and these specs direct from Dell or HP you'll probably triple the price, but it usually comes with a guarantee and no surface damage unless you're very tech savvy and want it do completely eliminate the possibility of receiving a damaged product, and then buy directly. If you're like me and don't mind fixing a few potential scratches or cracks if that means saving a few hundred bucks, these little PCs are a great option.

Pros
  • Like everything so far
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
