Review on Freeze Plug Rear D 1989 2002 by Walter Devarakonda

Fits my '93 W350 Cummins

I installed this on my 1st generation Cummins, this is '93. I've called other companies that do the bypass and they said they couldn't do it for the 1st gen and didn't know why. Now I know because the booth is insanely close to the number. The 90 I used to get out of the plate was almost too big, I had to turn it to the right angle so it wouldn't hit the cockpit. It wasn't the hardest part. Bolts, they were the hard part. I wish they had used regular hex head screws instead of a hex because even after cutting and bending a #10 hex wrench I still couldn't get it out. I had to use a combination wrench and hex head to pry the motor down to get room to turn. The product is great, no complaints, I know that in the 2nd generation there is a lot more space to mount the plate. So if you have the 1st gen I would ask or buy the screws before even trying this. Also the workmanship is perfect, I think they are from Tennessee and that shows the American craftsmanship and the tolerances are perfect. Can't beat, I recommend and will buy from them again. I just tested it and there were no leaks.
