Use this tool to solve your tire mounting problems!

This tire shop is AMAZING. I was skeptical about ordering, so as soon as I received it I tested it on the stiffest tire/wheel combo I've ever come across. I literally broke 4 of my favorite levers installing them and it took me 30-40 minutes of hard, tedious work to get the job done. (It usually takes around 1.5 to 2 minutes to remove a tyre, replace an inner tube and reinstall a tyre, rarely more than 5 minutes for a complex tire and/or rim). I was very nervous about this test as I never wanted to relive what I had to go through to climb them! A quick look at the lever and what wasn't clear from the photos, it was immediately clear how to use the product: 1 end to remove the tyre, the other end to mount the tyre. First the removal, which took about 10 minutes with a very good set of levers. With just one of these the bead was removed and the tire/tube removed in less than 20 SECONDS! I couldn't believe how easy and quick it was. This would be very easy for most female drivers I know. Further installation - it was incredibly difficult with the stock levers, especially the last 5-6 inches which were pretty damn tight. Changed the ends of the tool, snapped the tool into the wheel rim, and dragged the tool around the wheel. The tool presses the tire bead against the rim while riding and makes pinching the tube almost impossible, which is particularly good with the latex tubes I use. It was incredibly quick and easy up to the last 5 inches, but when I got to the insanely difficult part, the resistance definitely increased and I had to use my left hand to help pull the bead up. It was a little tough for me, but bearable. 30 seconds and the tire is mounted! I absolutely couldn't believe it. Just to confirm I wasn't having any luck I removed and reinstalled the tire 3 more times, each time with the same or better time than the first time. I went from despair to feeling like I'd have to give up what was arguably the best tire for my wheel to be happy that for $8 I could handle ANY combination of tires and wheels quickly and reliably. There are many good leverage options for simple tire/wheel operations, but nothing beats this tool for complex operations. While it's lightweight, it's a bit bulky, but it's worth finding a way to add it to your kit!
