Review on AIWA Prodigy Air Max – Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds by Bernard Her

UPDATE 3/13/21: Terribly bad product in questionable form factor.

Update April 30th I had problems with this junk and I'm done with all Aiwa products. I use them on my laptop in Teams meetings and make trills going from one to the next, kind of a weird siren. They then fall out of my TV from less than 12 feet. Communication with my phone is lost. I ended up throwing them against the wall. I have two Aiwa Exos 9 speakers and they each short the auxiliary jacks and produce a low hum with no input and every speech transmission produces a low loud pulse with every word. .I bought three Aiwa Arc-1 headphones, one of which was a gift. While I liked the sound they produced and had no connection issues, all three broke the headband with very little effort. Aiwa is built like trash, clean and simple. Your products are in the same class as Pyle or other electronic products sold on Wish.com. I recommend that you buy audio products from any other manufacturer, no matter how cheap or crappy they may be, because at least you get what you expect. Goodbye, Quince, and goodbye. March 13 update, now the left handset refuses to charge in the case. At least sometimes I can save myself the right earphone for phone calls. March 11 update, I paired it with my FiiO X7MkII and with this music player I had full control over tracks and volume, so using it with digital music sucks. Player. The sound quality was actually relatively poor, muffled and flat - and I mean relatively as I usually use Shure 846 or Westone W80 headphones for listening. You just don't get that kind of sound quality with this form factor. I'll try this combo on my next bike ride to see if they can handle some shaking and stay in my ears. Update March 1st 2021: I took these to test how well they stay in my ears during hard cycling and how they would sound with an Onkyo DP-X1 HD music player with FLAC files running Android 5.1 .one. Never got that far. The headphones paired easily with the Onkyo, but I only had volume control using the buttons on the headphones with no ability to change tracks. Also, the fact that there is no haptic feedback when pressing the buttons on the headphones made this exercise a complete failure, I stopped listening. I get about 4 1/2 hours of video playback on the idiot box compared to almost 8 hours from the Shure BT-2 Bluetooth adapter for my Shure and Westone wired headphones, so I don't even see a score for this type of headphones, or at least see an advantage, regardless of make or model. Noticeable lag when watching videos on a Samsung TV, as opposed to my Aiwa Arc-1 headphones. I only received them a day ago, so more specs will be updated soon. They're comfortable, easy to plug in, but I've yet to test battery life while wearing them. The earbuds work well but I can only make out two of the supposed ones, there are three different sizes of rubber rings that help keep it in the ear, there are only left and right markings which are just to identify the devices once put them on.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • For seniors
