Review on 💾 Enhanced QNAP TS-431X3-4G-AMZ-US 4-Bay High-Speed NAS with 10GbE and 2.5 GbE Port by Chris Bertoli

I bought this drive on 11/1/20 and received it on 11/5/20. I also registered it on the Qnap website on 11/5/20. My two-year warranty expires on 06/08/2022. My math must be a little off as it's not 2 years. The UI is a bit busier than Synology DSM 6.2, but overall the UI is very user-friendly and customizable. The mobile management app is cleaner than Synology Mobile DSM. When setting it up for the first time, you need to increase the raid build priority, which increased the initial sync from 120 hours to 20 hours. I didn't save the data to disk so I can't comment on the speed, but I don't expect brilliant results. I have 4 hard drives and no solid state drive. To put it briefly if they're better than Synology, their features sure are better for the dollar.Update: He completed the raid build in about 20 hours using 4 x 14TB Segate x16 drives. At first I was very disappointed, I had two sources, one with a 10Gb connection and the other with 1Gb, neither of them exceeded 1Gb/s individually, and together they only gave out 180Mb/s. averaged 420MB/s, then tested recording from the same desktop and was able to increase the average speed to 315MB/s and dramatically to 380MB/s. If you're reading all this you know I haven't had this in a long time, it built the array up pretty quickly and with x16 drives it writes at 315MB/s and reads at 420MB/s with a 10m DAC connected to SFP+ Update: 03:18 Upgraded and installed on 3-6-21. Starting from 3-13 to 3-8, the device spontaneously rebooted 3 times each time, resulting in a full rebuild that took over 20 hours. It took the support team 3 full business days to reply to my email, by the time they did it had already restarted twice. When they replied, they insisted that I put the factory RAM in so the device still reboots. I understand something is going on, but the support team wasted so much time hoping it was RAM instead of saying "Mr. Customer, I will look at the logs BUT you need to replace the RAM so we can continue support.
