Overall I like this hydration system. I love how I can unscrew the cap and easily add ice cubes (when it's empty) or clean the bottle really well. The flap closure is ideal for filling a standard bicycle bottle on the go. The real problem is with the straw as other reviews mentioned that I had a very strong chemical smell which was unpleasant. After various attempts to get rid/minimize the smell, I have found that the best way is to soak the straw in alcohol for a few days. It didn't eliminate all the smell, but enough (90%) to use a straw. Another problem with the straw is that it's just open and not very soft. I immediately fitted a camel bite valve (after getting rid of the chemical smell) and it worked great. Installation was easy and straightforward. The only other minor issue I have is that it can rattle a bit, which can be annoying, but I'm not sure there's another similar hydration system that doesn't tend to do that.
