Works great and stable on bumps

have used it on over 100 rides and an initial review found it to be a great aero bottle. It doesn't jump when you're driving on bad roads; No leaks from large opening or hinged lid. A small leak in the hose when it's maxed out and hitting the bumps, but for most it happens. The only concern is that the hinge on the flip cover doesn't look like it will stand the test of time.

So far this design and brand has been the best. Easy to clean

Over the past 7 years I have tried many different designs of hydration systems between rods. So far this design and brand has been the best. Easy to clean. Easy to assemble even with narrow aero bars and easy to use. Don't cut the straw too short. Leave it long and shorten it a little every ride until it's just how you like it. Use it in Cervelo P3.

Check your aero bars before ordering!

If you don't have a flat (street level) aero bar, this hydration pack isn't for you. My rod ends are slightly raised, so the bottle is crooked and leaks everywhere (bike computer, front wheel and brakes). I've tried different positions but to no avail. If you have level bars, this is a great system. Easy to clean and fill, super easy to install and no moving or squeezing while riding. Unfortunately I'm sending mine back.

Disappointed: Sports water bottles

A little disappointed with the system. I like the aero setup but the water bottle is pretty pathetic. Mine is leaking and squirting. I feel like I'm basically going through the sprinkler when using it. In fact, I've had suggestions from several other users to use a camel back pouring spout in a straw to avoid splattering. It works well. I also taped the straw to the water bottle holder to keep it from leaking from the bottom. I put a lot of time and effort into getting it to work for the money…

Love this setup in sports water bottles

Love this setup. At Ironman, fill it up at least twice, if not three times. Just flip the lid off as you approach the infirmary, grab a water bottle as you drive by, flip it upside down and squeeze to fill it up in a second or two, flip the empty one aside, leave You flip the lid down again, back in Aero. The position is good to go. I've been using the same bottle for three years, both in training and racing. I thought the top of the latch was worn but it wasn't. I really wish they would only…

Awesome water bottle system!

This whole system is great. The more I searched for a water bottle for my aero bars, the more conflicting reviews I read about every bottle, including this one. The truth is I think it's perfect. The mount is adjustable for different aero bars, the bottle does not leak, it sits very securely while riding, it is very easy to remove and the large opening makes it extremely easy to clean. I recommend cutting the straw much shorter and adding a large camelbak bite valve (it's tight, but it will…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • No automatic control

Great but needs an overhaul

This is great because it seems to fit any 3-link design. I bought another Profile Design 3 bar cup holder system but it didn't work with my 3 bar cup holders. I LOVE being able to bend down and drink, plus it adds another bottle to my bike for long rides. Critical for a central Texas summer. However it is very expensive and I would like the bottle to be insulated. For the price I think it should be. I usually fill it up with ice and some water in the morning and the water is lukewarm (at around

I want to like it more than I really do

My wife bought it for me a few years ago. I had a clip on the aero bars on a road bike and it worked great. It would be 5 stars. I bought a TT bike this year and was trying to improve my aero position. This is where the problems started. Straw. it's hard and in my face in my new position. He doesn't really back off because he's so tough. So I tried replacing the straw with a camelback straw which was now too tight and leaking everywhere making my bike very sticky (I used a straw it wasn't made…

Straw release on sports water bottles

Overall I like this hydration system. I love how I can unscrew the cap and easily add ice cubes (when it's empty) or clean the bottle really well. The flap closure is ideal for filling a standard bicycle bottle on the go. The real problem is with the straw as other reviews mentioned that I had a very strong chemical smell which was unpleasant. After various attempts to get rid/minimize the smell, I have found that the best way is to soak the straw in alcohol for a few days. It didn't eliminate…
