Addendum: After contacting the seller, a new heater was urgently sent, there is a 12-month guarantee on it. They didn't ask to return the defective one. I received it in 2 days and installed it in the tank. It already works much better than the fancy one. Keeps the temperature as described and my betta is very happy it isn't freezing. I sincerely appreciate how quick and responsive the seller was in responding to my issue. I think even if it wasn't for the warranty they would have solved my problem quickly and sent me a new heater. Would I buy again!Bought in December and already dead. I never got the tank's temp right, luckily I had another thermometer that let me know the true temp. Did this because I needed a heater, had to come back in a minute, I have to order another one and now it's colder!
