This product is difficult to review as you don't know if it works until a fire breaks out. Let's hope this never happens. What I would like to note is that it is easy to install. I also like that it's a sealed 10 year battery. I don't want to worry about changing the battery. So that was a plus. I will test every few weeks. One thing I've learned in general is that carbon monoxide and smoke alarms have a lifespan. Even if you change batteries conscientiously and test them properly, I would be uncomfortable with a 20-year-old smoke detector. I will count on them to protect me for 10 years. I had just replaced my carbon monoxide sensors when they beeped me twice. They did it 2 days apart so I knew it was a backup alert. I KNOW that all of the detectors in my home need to be replaced which is why I use this product for the two reasons above. Easy installation. Lithium battery with a lifespan of 10 years. And yes, the price is good. When searching fire departments etc. you don't have to spend a fortune on smoke detectors.
