I usually buy OEM parts when the installation is critical. You wouldn't think that installing a fuel filter is important, but after replacing it, I disagree. The location of the fuel filter on the Prelude is incredibly frustrating. Replacing one in an accessible location would take 5 minutes, and replacing one in the Prelude would take 3 hours. I replaced the axles and engine mounts in less time than a damn fuel filter! I've read reviews of aftermarket filters that need a bit of bending or modification to fit. If it only took me 3 hours to change the filter, the last thing I want is to find out that it needs to be modified to fit. I'm incredibly glad I went with the OEM filter and didn't have to worry about more than getting it out. There is absolutely NO space to work on it, so it would be almost impossible to change it. Do yourself a favor and buy a filter that you are 100% sure will fit with no issues.
