I've only had it for two days or so so only 4 stars for durability. I was a little wary of the "reverse" clasp, but that's not a problem at all. I actually prefer it over the buckle as the extra flap tucks inside and doesn't snag on anything which is great for chores. The material is a bit thinner than the original strap so I'm curious to see how it performs. endure over time. Some reviewers' photos are disturbing in this regard. As for the watch's fastening mechanism, I gave it a quick tug from time to time to make sure it was still secure, and it was. So I doubt I need to keep doing this. I usually wear the watch loosely, albeit tight enough for the heart rate sensor to work as Fitbit instructed. Hopefully this will extend the mechanism and durability. Again, another's image is disturbing. I've never had a problem with the original strap, other than one side starting to "stick" a little to the watch's lugs. He was still holding on so that he would serve as a backup should there be any problems with this new group. In general I am satisfied with the purchase. Installation was quick (literally) with no movement to ensure the mechanism locked securely, just like the original strap.
