Summary: Will not snap into the 1/4" hex drive on my Milwaukee M12 impact wrench. Compared to the Milwaukee bit, the length of the aftergroove is too short. I used my 5" Milwaukee grinder to see how much flute it takes to cut so the latch engages Recommendations: I specifically bought the hex version so I can use it in my impact wrench to avoid using the cutting tool to burn Benefits: Cuts a 1/2-inch mild steel rod; works in a drill Cons: Hex screwdriver won't engage Verdict: 2 stars for the hex version; buy the drill version instead.
