Bought these lights to improve the view forward of the bike. Anything that helps people see me is good. Installation was easy, but it would be nice to have some instructions for people not very familiar with electrical setups. Brackets and hardware could be better. A few bucks more for stainless steel bits would have given this product 5 stars. The lamp housings are made of aluminum and do not look cheap. I actually had the screw attaching the light body to the 'leg' fell off, and I ended up having to weld the pieces together. It's my own fault for not checking the tightening of that bolt. These lights are bright but don't provide much useful light. They illuminate reflective street signs 100 feet away, but not a person or animal at the same distance. However, they are clearly visible to other traffic throughout the day and do exactly what I expected them to do. I've ridden them in the rain a few times since installing them and there don't seem to be any signs of leaks or other instability to the elements. The bottom line is that these lights would be very hard to beat if they had the best mounting hardware.
