Nice wood texture for our times. Not like hickory in the 1950s though. It's not "convincing" yet, but it's a very desirable accessory for a truck. The tires are good, the times in our area are good, so everything is good. The most uncomfortable moment was pulling the label off the hammer. The best results I can recommend to buyers is good old Ronsonol lighter fluid on a soft cloth. Rub gently until you reach the wood finish. Then apply some oil/furniture polish to the affected area. Avoid getting oil on the grip area. Swap out the leather lace-up strap for something stronger. Knock Knock!
