This works but I didn't realize that when sucking air out for vacuum oil mist under the oil cap. Since it is a highly refined mineral oil, there are no health risks to worry about. But fog fills my garage. The solution I researched is an oil filter and from what I've seen they cost about the same as what I paid for the unit. I've read that a car oil filter might do the trick, haven't tried it yet. Oil is poured through the red cap behind the blue cap. The instructions are useless! I contacted the company that sold it to me and they asked for pictures but I haven't had a chance to get a picture of the thin mist that comes out! When that finally dies, and I'm sure of it, I won't lose sleep. I'll just buy a new vacuum pump and maybe spend a little more money.
