Review on Computer headset SteelSeries Arctis 3, black by Mateusz Brd ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

In general, I used to be skeptical about gaming headphones, having high-quality headphones for listening to music, but apparently the setting for games really plays a role here. I took it for the sake of micro, since in 2022 the market for individual micros is simply a disaster - either an expensive streamer, or horror from the Middle Kingdom. Positioning is better. The microphone in front of your mouth allows you to speak quietly and not disturb others. Having smoked the material, I realized that in 5.7 and others the same drivers. More expensive versions with all sorts of GameDac and so on have terrible reviews on Amazon, I didn’t even delve further. Marketing . As a result, 3-chka turned out to be the most pleasant and understandable offer for your money on the market. Compeors either simply fail with comfort, or absolutely unbearable sound, or price, or something else. Arctis 5 - RGB and buggy chat mix, Arctis 7 - unnecessary BT, why, if you are already sitting at the computer? It is also incomprehensible to me, like wireless keyboards. Paying a lot of money for gaming headphones is just rubbish, so this model did well. It is foolish to chase a high level of sound in gaming headphones, because. there will still be a setting for games, the microphone on all of them is approximately the same, on Sennheiser's Boom-mic it is better, but their ears themselves are not worth it - I compared everything live. Headphones should always be listened to live, evaluating comfort and how much you are willing to sacrifice sound. In the same senses, you sacrifice sound, comfort, quality of materials and embly, although it would seem that the company specializes in headphones. Clouds from HyperX are also good, but more expensive. I would choose between them and these, I think Clouds will still try, but only either Cloud Core or Cloud Alpha, since the fake 7.1 (Cloud II) is complete nonsense for anyone who even understands the sound. To date, my choice has fallen on these, since I have a lot of headphones for music. If I would take the only headphones for everything - Cloud Alpha 100%. Don't even hesitate. Hope I can help those who have doubts. Took somewhere around 5k.

Pros
  • + Price. Headphones do not grab the stars from the sky, but for the money this is a very good deal. + Comfort. I have an elastic band in the loosest position. He stretched the headband without sparing - the plastic survived, it became noticeably better. Lungs. + Microphone - you can hear me well, not too high and without hiss. Retracts into a cup, convenient when you play single-player games or want to hang around your neck, put on the table and not worry about what you put on the micro. + Separately, I want to note the ear pads, which, for me, are one of the main advantages. Soft, fabric, interesting look. There is no pressure on the head, the ears do not sweat, the ears do not touch the inner surface of the cups. Soundproofing is excellent, which is generally strange considering that this is not leatherette. Looks neater than velor. + Detachable cable (see shortcomings), complete with a splitter for 2 inputs - ears and micro. + The sound is average, high ones do not cut the ears, which was important for me. You can't expect miracles from the b, but the middle is very strong. Excellent audibility in games (forget about software 7.1), shots, steps, positioning - fire. Voices are heard well. + Lightweight, thin cable, sits securely. + Good presentation when unboxing. + Volume wheel (albeit cheap) and a microphone mute on (even though it doesn’t work for me - I think it’s the software on the computer, too lazy to figure it out)
Cons
  • - Comfort. For my head, literally a couple of millimeters of headband depth is not enough. - Sound. Great for games, mediocre (but not bad) for music. - No microphone filter, you can hear me breathing or typing. - The coating of the soft-touch cups fouls up instantly. - The cable is plugged into the headphones through a special USB connector, of course, they could not do a common one. Only cables from SS. - From the hellish box they put pressure on the head. After a ruthless stretching of the headband, it gets better, but after they lie down, they strive to start pressing again. - Unlike older models - no software or sound settings. And at the start there was support - they cut it, because it’s bold, apparently)
