I bought this to replace an old speaker set that was dying. I have to say that I have never heard a cleaner sound from any speaker in this price range. The processing quality is also excellent. I recommend getting a subwoofer. It's not that the bass is bad, but I would like more depth and power. Edit: One of the speakers died. Hence a star deduction. However, this is not a rating. I emailed audioengine, got a quick reply and fixed the issue. Since I couldn't solve the problem, I sent them back to the center here in the US. and in less than two weeks my speakers were tested, found faulty and replaced with a new set. While I know that even the highest quality products can produce bad eggs, the measure of a manufacturer is how they respond to a problem. In this case, all replies were honest, prompt, and polite. With great product support and lots of enjoyment from this product, I remain an Audioengine fan and look forward to buying myself a subwoofer for Christmas.
