I love these skates! I spent about 40 hours with them and they worked very well. I've been an avid skater for most of my life, but in recent years I've given up the habit. I started skating again, but my old running shoes were flat boots with no ankle support, so I bought them to support my weaker ankles. The boot is synthetic, not leather, so initially it's a bit stiffer than a leather boot, but that worked for me. I found that by not using the upper laces/hooks I had the ankle support and flexibility I needed. They run true to size but I found the boots had a little more room around my foot at the top and bottom. - not tight so I use double socks and this ensures a perfect fit. The wheels used are a good choice and offer the right amount of grip for most types of riding, indoors or outdoors. Aside from their convenience and functionality, they are absolutely gorgeous. Every time I put them on someone stops me and asks where I can buy a pair. They are absolutely worth their price.
