Be careful when cutting the legs to the right length. I cut the length so that the bottom just touches the top of my legs and if I need more I trim it down a bit from time to time. Before you make a decision, make sure you've got your boots on. If used as fashion garments, you may need professional help to cut and hem the length. All legs of motorcycle leather legs are designed to be cut. After all, lederhosen need to be broken in before they are comfortable. Keep wearing them to reduce stiffness.
