Review on 🎡 Denon AVR-X1600H 7.2 Channel AV Receiver, Black - Ultimate Sound Experience by DoYun Hwang ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Satisfied with the purchase one hundred percent, I recommend the product for everyone.

I had to tinker with the receiver for more than one day. But now everything plays as it should. And so, I have front speakers KEF q150, center KEF q250c, side speakers - 8 ohm microlab, subwoofer - Dali Sub C-8 D. Wires In-Akustik Exzellenz LS Cable Atmos Air What I did to set up: 1) Calibration through Audyssey (I set it up through a paid application on an iPhone) 2) Configuration via web browser. We are connected by ip to the receiver. My settings: 1) Audio/Subwoofer Volume: 0 . (The volume on the sub itself is 50%) 2) Audio/Restore: Low 3) MultEQ XT - Reference, Dynamic EQ - on, Dynamic Volume - Medium (It seems that all this is the default) 4) I did not touch the distance to the AC after Audissey. The first time I changed hands, this time I did not. 5) Acoustics / Volume level - it's interesting here! Audissey set the volume as he saw fit. BUT! I removed everything to zero and here's why! Depending on which source is playing Apple TV, set-top box or Tidal, you can adjust the channel levels on the receiver itself. Through the options buttons on the remote, such as, for example, the subwoofer volume and other channels. Based on this, it is not entirely clear how this fits in with this menu item. Since after setting through options - nothing changes there! Therefore, by default, everything is zero there, and individual sources are configured differently! It is important! The documentation is very vague. 6) Acoustics / Crossover: fronts - 40, center - 80, side 80 7) Acoustics / Bass Tuning: LFE + HL 120Hz. 8) 4K Video/Signal: Advanced 9) Video/Setup: HDMI - HDMI Control - On, ARC - On Separately, I had to tinker with the subwoofer. Surprisingly, after the second calibration, he settled down and stopped mumbling in places. Volume and crossover at 12 o'clock Outcome. I listen to Tidal, movies, ps4 at a volume level of 37-50 db out of 98 I think the Denon x1600 is an excellent choice for the price for both music and movies! Experiment with the settings and everything will sound.

Pros
  • Price/Sound/Functionality. All that older models give is support for 8k / 120 Hz, more channels, power. Just compare to the office. Denon website. Possibility of setting through the browser. Before him was DENON DRA-800H - a stereo receiver. I almost regretted that I replaced it with 1600. Although they say that it is more musical at times, because in stereo power is not spent on other channels. In general, everyone has some kind of problem with the choice of power. I have a room of 20 squares. I listen at no more than 50% volume and it's loud! DRA 800 I twisted by 35 percent.
Cons
  • 1) Plastic handles. But visually it is not evident. 2) Long sound tuning to the required comfort. 3) Some difficulties with the "smart" TV. My TV is LG OLED. If you have the same TV and the magic remote through the receiver refuses to control AppleTV or PS4, see how the Denon is connected to the system. If I'm not mistaken, it must NOT be connected as a "home theater", otherwise the remote control will not control the devices. It is better to connect it as a digital set-top box. For sound output, this does not play any role, but for some reason it plays for the magic remote control! 4) Sometimes loses signal after turning on PS4 via joystick. But this does not seem to apply to the receiver model. You have to kick it through the remote control by changing the source. Not critical.
