Review on 🔪 TEXALAN 12-Inch Heavy Duty Guillotine Paper Cutter (Black) by Angela Rodriguez

This is a great cutter but a couple of things need to be mentioned. You have to add corner bumpers to the underside, which isn't a big deal, and ditch the long pieces of plastic that already fit in the car. I don't know why it doesn't say that on the packaging. Also installed from back to front is a paper pinch handle that needs to be removed and flipped over. I had lost a few screws at the bottom of the box and luckily I found them all to put back in the car. They may have fallen out during transport. Which probably wouldn't have happened if they were properly tightened before packing. Another issue I had was that the entire machine was covered in some kind of light grease. Everything had to be wiped down before use. Almost like clear oil. On top of that, the cutter cuts great, the blade was sharp and cut quite a lot of paper cleanly and, above all, evenly without any problems. This is a workhorse and not for those who just need a basic paper cutter for projects. This is specially designed for large stacks of paper or even book spines. I'm very happy with it, however some of the assembly and shipping of the product could be improved. It would also be helpful if instructions and a parts list were sent with the machine. I know it's a paper cutter and roughly how it works, but it would be nice to see all the features listed. For example, I didn't realize the finger guard could be removed until I tried cutting it the first time, or that the paper tray would fold in the process. I think most people already know this, but this is my first time using something like this and it would be helpful, especially if I had to pack a lot of screws on arrival. Great tailor so far. It would also be helpful to have some instructions on how to replace the blade when the time is right. What I feel will be quite a duty.
