After I bought this lens and took the first photos with it, I was very disappointed in it, with an open aperture, the photos came out cloudy and dark. I began to understand what was the matter, read various articles and reviews, tested it on a target, on the street and in the studio, as a result it turned out that the working aperture on cameras with a crop factor starts from 5.6. Later, when I switched to full frame, the problem disappeared, the lens became sharp at any aperture and focal length. 24-105 loves light and crystal clear air very much, in low light it gets a little lost during focusing. The lens needs an approach and the ability to use its capabilities, then the result will be on the level. No need to think, since the letter L is written on the lens and a red stripe is visible, then absolutely all photos will be masterpieces, this is, first of all, a tool that you need to learn how to use. In general, I like the colors and sharpness, the shortcomings can most often be corrected in Lightroom or Photoshop, it fits comfortably in the hand, the optical stabilizer definitely works, the weight does not bother at all. When compared with 24-70, it is inferior in volume and colors, in 24-105 the pattern is flatter and the colors are less saturated. The lens is very worthwhile, both in terms of capabilities and price, it definitely wonβt lie on the shelf, I advise everyone to it!
