The filter performs admirably. Using tap water that started out at 7g. GH, the filter reduced the hardness to 1g. GH after 6 months, 3g. GH after 3 months, and 4-5g. GH after 6 months, all at a daily average flow rate of 0.8 l. This way, it can go longer between monthly swaps. Compare the water before and after the filter in the photo to decide if you really need to use the filter. Coffee tastes better with a filter, although that's a more esoteric observation.
