Review on Riffe Stubby Wrangler Knife Saftey by Steve Modesto

Terrible metal quality - rust

I bought this knife in January and haven't used it for about a month (May). I made two dives with this knife, rinsed it with fresh water like everything else and let it dry before putting it back in my pocket the next day. I've done this with all my other dive knives and have never experienced as much rust as this knife. As you can see in the photo, the "Teflon" coating is blowing and peeling off. The blade itself is very rusty. To me, that's unacceptable for an $86 knife. I have a $30 knife that I've been using for almost 5 years and it doesn't look bad. It's a shame that a well-known brand like Riffe is trying to pass it off as a high-quality dive knife. I really like the design of the knife with the large handle, the rubber grip and the length of the blade. Conclusion - DO NOT buy this knife!
