. Originally ordered a replacement color for the tube, having color options was a nice feature even if I leave it permanently set to just one color. The cable is THIN, but so far it has held up well in snow and rain. The light is surprisingly bright due to the lack of a light tube for amplification and diffusion - it just comes from small built-in LEDs. The color changing function is good, but the backlight is a bit strange at times. Sometimes there are just a few randomly placed lights that aren't the right color. Sometimes it's because the R/G/B element needed to get them right refuses to turn on, but other times it's just a random different color. And then fix it! Is there some sort of built in timer where they reset? I'm not sure. They'll blink and then maybe turn back on an hour or two later, and sometimes that fixes those that were the wrong color. If you're really looking for a single color these might not be for you, but other than that they're definitely good.
