Retrospec Protective Gear is a set of knee, elbow and wrist protectors for roller skating, inline skating and skateboarding. They are available in five different colors and three different sizes. They are made of thick foam and fabric, with hard plastic in certain areas for extra protection. They are attached with rubber bands and Velcro. Velcro has no puffs. So far the quality of the gear seems great and the price seems fair too. Although the Velcro attaches very close to the edge of the knee and elbow pads, it never scratches. In addition, the knee pads and elbow pads flex well when inline skating, and the wrist pads are very strong and never slip off. However, this gear is only offered in three different sizes and no size chart is offered. When I received the adult set I thought it was too big and had to order a youth size instead. Still, the knee pads and elbow pads felt a bit loose, and going down a size would almost certainly have been too tight. They don't fall off but are large enough to attach the velcro, it doesn't seem to tighten them. I would appreciate if the straps were made in such a way that someone could better adjust the tension. Aside from some minor sizing issues the Retrospec protective gear is definitely a great product, comfortable and efficient and I would recommend it to others.
