Tool required to change bottom bracket bearings. Read the specs to ensure this is the correct tool for your bottom bracket. The removal tool is easy to use. Just follow the simple instructions. You'll need a wooden block hammer to hit the tool to push the bearing through - easy. In addition, there are 2 bearing clamps that ensure that the bearings are pressed evenly and correctly into the housing. You will need a bearing press tool or a long 5/8" or 3/4" bolt, some washers and a nut to use as a press. Simple again, and a bolt, nut, and washers should be around $6 at a hardware store or hardware store. This is a lot cheaper than buying any of the various presses available. The biggest advantage of this tool is that you can replace the bottom bracket bearings yourself and ensure that the bearings and seals are installed correctly.
