The surface heats up very quickly and recovers quickly between pancakes. It's faster to cook pancakes individually than 2-3 at a time in a giant pan. The included utensils help spread the batter and bake perfect pancakes. Teleshopping' to see it in action. It takes a little learning to be good at it. I may never be as good as the woman in the video. Plan out some less than perfect pancakes while you learn how Batter pours by turning the distributor I will definitely buy this product again.
