Colors have faded for two years but they sent a replacement

UPDATE February 19, 2021: After I submitted my previous review, the manufacturer contacted me and were very apologetic and helpful . . They offered to send me a set of replacement cartridges to see if that would solve my problem in the future. Of course, previously the ink only faded after a year, so I can't be sure if the problem went away right away! In the meantime I have updated my star rating and will set a calendar reminder to come back in a year or so and update this rating when things seem brighter than ever :) In the meantime I will be disposing of old stuff properly and safely. Having said that, I have to say I was very impressed with the customer service - definitely 5 stars in my opinion! I used these in my printer for a photo booth I set up at a friend's wedding on April 13, 2019 (now January 16, 2021). Unlike some other third party inks for my Canon photo printers, although the colors were vibrant and perfect on the first print, they faded very quickly. Up until last summer, the blacks have faded the most, followed by the blues. What's left is more reddish. I'm disappointed. I'm having a hard time photographing what they look like up close because my phone applies a correction to make them look better, so the far back photo I have should work. This also allows you to see what is "black" in my image. The backdrop to the stand was gold tinsel, my hair and beard are dark brown/black, my wife's hair is brown and my blazer and her dress were a VERY bright cobalt blue. You can see the massive color disappear. I'm glad they've worked well for others, but be careful! For me they are easily 1 star. Luckily I have all the original photos and can reprint!

Pros
  • Printer ink and toner
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
