They are NOT designed for a warm environment I can assure you. I installed them along the inner fender near the front of the engine bay. not particularly hot in the area. They're about 16 inches from the engine and its heat, but these things remain in a state of softness, almost melting. My temperature is around 130-140F (55-60C) in this range. This sucks because I spent many hours on this project. ALSO the order of the "cable colors" did not match on some connectors. I had to be extra careful when creating the circuit because I color-coded my wiring (I bought the spools of wire to match the color). I SHOULD be able to do this if the connectors are clearly color coded, but quality control is clearly poor and could have caused real cross-wiring issues. They offer a rubber seal and waterproof plug so it feels like the quality should be, but these aren't great plugs other than being 'nice'. Poor in warmer regions (even below 176F/80C rating) and poor quality control.
